The Driver Exchange is a fast growing business looking to change the way employment markets work. We started in logistics, and now we’re moving into new sectors.

Our competitive advantages come from:

  • Delivering a rewarding user experience – something which feels like a good consumer-facing app, not an awkward, ugly business application
  • Creating a platform that scales
  • And harnessing data to give employers and work-seekers insights to help them make decisions…

…the person we are looking for will be excited about building an application that delivers in these areas.

We need a front end developer – someone who can take on board a business requirement, think creatively about it and design & implement an elegant solution.

The right candidate will:

  • Have a passion for well-designed web & mobile apps and an understanding of why they work so well
  • Be able to apply that understanding to a new service so that it is intuitive, quick and enjoyable to use
  • Have the technical skillset, acumen and interest to deliver the functionality with thoughtful, accurate and efficient code

The role involves working in an Agile (Kanban) environment on projects including the design & development of:

  • New features to expand the addressable market for our product
  • New features in response to demand from our existing customers
  • Tools to make it easier for new customers to onboard and integrate the DX with their other systems

Technologies we’re currently using on the front end: ES6, React

Role details:

  • Based in London, or remote working (in the UK) with a day in the office every week or so
  • Permanent position
  • £50k to £75k depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
